Transactional Paralegal Position
(Contract Based) 

 

Trellis Legal, an innovative business transactional law firm representing farmers, small businesses, and non-profits in Pennsylvania is seeking a drafting and transactional paralegal. Trellis focuses on providing accessible legal services and is excited to grow our team as our client needs and the opportunity to provide new legal solutions expands.

This is a unique position for a paralegal looking for more flexible working hours and work within a small agile team focused on creating and providing better ways to deliver legal services in our region. Position will have independence and paralegal will work with the firm’s two attorneys. The paralegal will aid the attorneys with transactional and entity filing needs.  There is opportunity for growth within the position and potential to change to W-2. Job will include aiding with:

-contract document drafting and review for firm clients (client agreements, NDAs, independent contractor agreements, liability waivers, commercial leases, terms of use and privacy policies)

​

-entity formation services to clients (filing entities with PA Department of State, drafting formational documents-operating agreements, for profit and non-profit by-laws, resolutions, policies, etc., and submitting advertising requirements and other related documents)

-Opportunities to innovate

Candidates should have at least 1-2 years experience in business transactional paralegal services and have knowledge in google docs, word, google drive, e-sign services, and state entity filings.

1099 position paid at hourly rate dependent on experience (starting at least $32/hr), flexible hours, estimated 10-20 hours per week but could vary based on need. Candidate is ideally located in the greater Pittsburgh region. Availability for some in-office work and team check ins requested. Great for someone looking for part-time work, flexibility, and a positive, engaging team!
