Home Improvement (Construction) Contract
Description
This is a template for a Home Improvement Contract to use when you have engaged to perform home improvement work for an individual in their home. In Pennsylvania, under the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, those who perform work in others’ homes for more than $500 are required to have a written contract that includes certain specific components and also leaves out others. The contract must be understandable and signed by both the contractor and the customer. This contract includes the provisions required as well as additional considerations and provides customizable options for your individual construction development needs.
It is important to note, that because the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act is a Pennsylvania state law, this template can only be construed to comply with that law and not any other state's home construction contracting laws.
